Patch Notes Page 59

  • Trax now keeps the same offers for the full wave instead of rerolling them every time you reopen his shop.
  • Trader and pub inventories now only reroll when the wave changes, when you switch shop types, or when you buy something.
  • Removed the trader’s one-purchase-per-wave lockout.
  • Buying an offer now immediately refreshes Trax’s visible stock so you can keep shopping during the same wave.
  • Made secret spawn cues much more noticeable.
  • Shrine and Hidden Chest Secret.wav spawns now duck the rest of the mix while the cue plays.
  • The secret cue now runs on a dedicated reserved SFX channel so it stays loud while other gameplay and ambient sounds step back.
  • Added a secret spawn audio cue for hidden chests and shrines.
  • Hidden Chest spawns now play a one-shot discovery cue when they appear.
  • Shrine appearances now trigger the same cue alongside their existing toast and sparkle presentation.
  • Reworked default controller window shortcuts and rebinding labels.
  • The D-pad now opens Ability Shop, Talents, Abilities, and Quests by default instead of driving movement.
  • Inventory now defaults to Select / Back, and the Controls remap screen now labels that action as Inventory.
  • Steam Input now exposes a dedicated QuestLog action so every major in-run window has a controller-remappable action path.
  • Steam overlay now opens the in-run pause menu.
  • Activating the Steam overlay during gameplay now forces the standard pause menu open instead of leaving the run unpaused underneath it.
  • Existing gameplay overlays are closed first so the pause menu becomes the active in-game surface.
  • Temporarily disabled Steam stats and leaderboard gameplay integration.
  • Run-end Steam stat sync and leaderboard submission are now inactive while the surrounding Steam runtime remains available for other features.
  • The recap screen no longer shows Steam rank or leaderboard retrieval status lines.
  • Added a main-menu Mods visibility toggle.
  • data/gameplay.json now exposes ui.mainMenu.showModsButton, so Mods can be hidden from the main menu the same way Host and Join already can.
  • Refined Dragon melee and breath timing.
  • The Dragon’s committed grounded melee swing now hits harder than generic body contact, keeping the real attack threatening without restoring overlap spam.
  • Dragon fire-breath damage and ignition now start a fraction later, so the hurt window lines up with visible flame startup.
