Patch Notes Page 54

  • Fixed Steam Cloud startup sync for active profile slots.
  • Startup cloud pull/push now uses the actual active profile filename, so mod-hash save slots no longer try to share the vanilla profile.dat remote slot.
  • Cloud-restored saves now land in the same local save file the runtime is already using.
  • Added Valor-based Warden unlock progression.
  • New profiles now start with Jack, Robin, and Jade available immediately, while Ellis, Maria, Raven, Gunther, Sage, Sally, and George unlock through specific acts of Valor.
  • Dragon boss kills, round milestones, Toxic Dragon kills, Blood Rain survivals, total healing/shields restored, and lifetime enemy kills now feed that progression automatically across runs.
  • Added an Achievements screen to the main menu.
  • The new screen shows every Valor achievement, its current progress, and which Warden reward it unlocks even before it is earned.
  • Locked Wardens are now gated cleanly in character select.
  • Locked entries are greyed out, cannot be selected, and explain the unlock requirement in both the list and the details panel.
  • Fixed the Vampire Lord victory handoff on standard runs.
  • Killing the Vampire Lord now immediately triggers the win condition by default instead of dropping into a long post-boss delay where the run could keep progressing.
  • Finale victory delay logic is now hardened so authored delays cannot resume normal wave spawning or accidentally requeue the finale.
  • Smoothed the late-wave stat spike on standard difficulties.
  • Enemy HP and speed growth now taper into a gentler late-wave curve instead of continuing the full early-game compounding all the way into the Vampire Lord finale.
  • Milestone bosses now use a lower generic HP multiplier, reducing the wave-40 wall.
  • Rebalanced the Vampire Lord encounter.
  • The Vampire Lord now has much lower health, shields, damage, armor bonus, passive regen, and bite lifesteal, so the fight remains a finale instead of a near-immortal sustain check.
  • Fixed dev-command wave jumps for round-gated progression.
  • set_wave and native wave jumps now derive the correct round and current-round progress from the requested absolute wave instead of treating wave and round as the same number.
  • Jumping near the Vampire Lord finale on standard difficulties now correctly reaches the encounter timing instead of requiring dozens of extra waves.
  • Added Infinite difficulty unlock progression.
  • Defeating the Vampire Lord once now unlocks Infinite in the difficulty selector.
  • Infinite runs are endless, do not trigger the Vampire Lord finale, and keep scaling enemy stats every round.
  • Tuned Infinite mode rewards and pressure.
  • Infinite difficulty now pays +50% more gold rewards and spawns elites more often than the standard cadence.
  • Added a readable Steam achievement reference document.
  • Steam documentation.md` now groups every current achievement by category, explains what each one is for, and lists the exact unlock condition in plain language.
  • The Steam docs index in GAME_SPEC.md now points at the new achievement reference.
  • Added new Steam milestone tracking for rare loot and boss clears.
  • The profile now records the first Unique item found, the first corrupted item cleansed, the first Dragon boss defeated, the first Toxic Dragon defeated, and the first Vampire Lord defeated.
  • These milestones now feed the existing Steam stat snapshot and achievement evaluator so they can unlock cleanly when Steam stats are enabled again.
