Patch Notes Page 53

  • Toughened Warden survival against late-wave melee swarms.
  • Melee contact hits now apply a data-driven anti-crowd mitigation curve once several enemies stack on top of the same Warden.
  • Higher difficulties keep less of that anti-swarm protection, so easy/normal preserve more forgiveness than Chaotic, Insane, Torment, and Infinite.
  • Reinforced tank Wardens at baseline.
  • Jack now starts runs with extra base armor, with the bonus authored in data/menu_presets.json instead of hardcoded in the contact resolver.
  • Added a survivability regression check.
  • combat_tests now covers the crowd-mitigation helper so the anti-swarm taper stays deterministic as tuning changes.
  • Fixed trader offer selection to require a click before buying.
  • Hovering trader offers no longer changes the active purchase selection in either trader UI path.
  • The selected trader offer now stays locked until the player clicks a different offer or changes it with non-mouse navigation.
  • Tightened ranged and healer cleanup behavior in enemy packs.
  • Ranged enemies now hold a real min/max firing window, walk back into range when the player is too far away, and switch to melee/contact pressure when the player closes the gap.
  • Healers now prioritize healing/follow support without endlessly fleeing the player, then turn aggressive once their personal space is breached.
  • Waves no longer stall on the last ranged/healer survivors because backline-only groups now collapse into melee/contact pressure instead of kiting forever.
  • Kalibros now queues simultaneous first-time callouts instead of dropping later ones.
  • If multiple tutorial-worthy events happen together, such as weather discovery, shrine spawn, boss spawn, or round-transition guidance, Kalibros now adds them all to the pending sequence and plays them in order.
  • Refined Kalibros tutorial paging for readability.
  • The enemy overview and hotzone briefing are now split across shorter Kalibros panels instead of overloading one dialogue page with too much text.
  • Hotzone guidance now names the actual live bonuses on the map, including Danger-Pay, XP Surge, Warp Flux, and the XP + Pay combo zone.
  • Hardened Kalibros tutorial advance input against held confirms.
  • Tutorial dialogue now ignores held left-click, E, Space, and other confirm inputs until the player fully releases them, so every Kalibros panel requires a distinct press after release to advance.
  • Fixed Kalibros tutorial dialogue skipping multiple messages on one click.
  • Advancing a tutorial beat now requires releasing the current confirm/click input before the next message can be dismissed, so one held press no longer burns through the queue.
  • Added Kalibros-guided first-run tutorials and one-time gameplay callouts.
  • First-time runs now pause into a dedicated Kalibros dialogue overlay with his portrait, center-screen topic cards, and guided onboarding for movement, combat, waves, resources, fog of war, weather, and map objectives.
  • First-time milestone moments such as elites, bosses, loot goblins, shrines, hidden chests, talent points, weather states, and round-two points of interest now trigger one-time Kalibros warnings or guidance without opening the regular pause menu.
  • Tutorial discovery now persists per profile.
  • Save data records which Kalibros tutorial beats have already been seen so onboarding and first-time commentary only appear once across runs.
