Patch Notes Page 47

  • Restored multiplayer hosting and joining from the main menu.
  • Host and Join entries are visible again by default, so lobby setup and direct-connect flows no longer require config edits to access.
  • The existing multiplayer session, lobby, and Steam invite plumbing remains active behind those menu paths.
  • Revised collectible lore books and scrolls to better match Wardens of Wen’s current canon.
  • Updated key journals, histories, dispatches, cult notes, battle plans, and ancient texts to better reflect Wen’s blessed soil, Kalibros’s rationing, George’s fortifications, the weakened church, and the Hymm beneath the city.
  • Corrected canon drift around Verdaxis and Baron Von Dreadmoor so lore entries now describe Verdaxis as a singular dragon twisted into Dreadmoor’s necromantic war machine rather than implying a line of inherited dragon titles.
  • Fixed lore details panels repeating title and sell-value text.
  • Lore descriptions now begin directly with Book archived in the Codex when recovered. or Scroll archived in the Codex when recovered. followed by the lore summary.
  • The details panel no longer repeats the item title inside the description body or duplicates the sell price that is already shown in the sell row.
  • Fixed lore books and scrolls still leaking their full description into inventory grid tiles.
  • Lore collectibles once again use their authored entry title as the inventory item name, such as Orc Discipline Note.
  • The inventory grid now suppresses the long lore description line for Codex collectibles, while the details panel still shows the full lore summary and sell value.
  • Fixed lore books and scrolls overflowing inventory slot layout.
  • Lore collectibles now use short generic inventory-safe names such as Journal, Writ, Battle Plan, and Textbook instead of full lore entry titles.
  • The full authored lore title still appears in the item details text and remains unchanged in the Codex entry itself.
  • Added collectible lore books and scrolls across live runs.
  • Enemies and hidden chests can now drop authored lore entries drawn from new book and scroll sprite sheets, with each first recovery permanently unlocking that text in the Codex.
  • Duplicate lore finds still matter during combat runs because they sell for high copper instead of becoming dead collectibles.
  • Added a new main-menu Codex archive.
  • The Codex groups recovered entries by category and keeps undiscovered slots visible, making it easier to track missing journals, cult notes, battle plans, histories, and ancient texts.
  • Expanded Wardens of Wen’s world-building around Verdaxis, Baron Von Dreadmoor, cult cells, and the realm’s fallen defenders.
  • New lore entries now cover soldier journals, cult notes, enemy battle plans, tattered histories, ancient texts, and lost textbooks consistent with the existing setting material.
  • Reset the player-visible release line to semantic versioning at Early Access | v0.1.0.
  • The main menu, runtime build labels, and external build-tag examples now use the semver format instead of the old Build v0.0.x numbering.
  • This establishes the first Early Access baseline release under the stricter versioning policy.
  • Removed Robin’s temporary sword/bow diagnostic logging from the packaged client.
  • Robin no longer appends weapon-state debug lines to weapon_swap_debug.log during live play, avoiding the Robin-only disk I/O hitch that could show up as short freezes.
  • This change does not alter Robin’s working sword/bow cycle or animation row mapping; it only strips the temporary instrumentation from the runtime path.
